Job summary

Homes for Independent Living, a MyPath Company, is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor to lead the direct care team and ensure high-quality support for individuals with varying needs. The role emphasizes supervision, training, and enhancing client well-being within our residential settings.

The successful candidate will coordinate care plans, assist with activities of daily living, and address challenging behaviors while promoting independence and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation to programs and trainings.
• Successful completion of caregiver background check, TB test and health screen.
• Valid driver's license with 3 years of acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise caregiver staff along with training, coaching and mentoring your team.
• Provide supervision of personnel and client care, enhance health, safety, and welfare of clients and programming.
• Assist client with activities of daily living including physical assistance and personal cares.
• Redirect challenging behaviors - promote independence and quality of life.
• Assist with cooking and cleaning in the home.
• All other duties as assigned.

Homes for Independent Living, a MyPath company, provides an array of service models in a variety of residential settings. We support people through individualized service plans that range from high personal care needs to those who present complex behavioral challenges. HIL is looking for a Direct Support Supervisor (DSS) to join our team. A DSS provides supervision for the direct care support team members.

As a _ Direct Support Supervisor _ , you will:

• Supervise caregiver staff along with training, coaching and mentoring your team. Provide supervision of personnel and client care, enhance the overall health, safety, and welfare of the clients and programming.
• Assist client with activities of daily living including physical assistance and personal cares.
• Redirect challenging behaviors - Promote independence and quality of life.
• Assist with the cooking, cleaning in the home.
• All other duties as assigned.
