Merging Happiness & Inclusion Inc. is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Staff member to support individuals with disabilities in Mt. Juliet, TN. You will provide personalized care, help with daily living activities, and promote inclusion and independence.

Join a dedicated human services team in Middle TN. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and DSP training to support clients and families effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete required DSP training.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to community activities, and social outings.
• Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in all daily interactions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved support strategies.
