Job summary

SRVS is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) located in Bartlett, TN to assist individuals with disabilities. This part-time position involves providing key support that enables individuals to achieve their personal goals and live independently.

You will assist with personal care, household tasks, and community engagement while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals you support.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license from TN, AR, or MS.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Help individuals lift and complete physical tasks.
• Prepare meals and assist with household tasks.
• Transport individuals within the community.
• Administer medication in community living settings.

Location: Memphis, TN (Shelby County)

Hourly Pay: $15.00

Shift: Part-Time (32-hour weekend w/benefits) - Saturday & Sunday 7a-11p

Job Purpose

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Apis Services, you will be a key player in empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible. Under the guidance of the Home Supervisor/QIDP, you will support the vision and outcomes outlined in each person's Individual Support Plan (ISP) or Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP), ensuring their safety and well-being while helping them thrive in their community.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene (when necessary), bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Physical Support: Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs as needed.
• Household Tasks: Prepare meals and cook as required.
• Community Engagement: Transport individuals within the community.
• Medication Administration: (for Community Living settings only).

Required Education and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Must possess a valid driver's license from TN, AR, or MS. Must have had a driver's license for at least three years with no suspensions or revocations. Candidates must also pass all required pre-employment screenings, including criminal background checks and drug tests.
