Job summary

The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, seeks a Direct Support Professional to support adolescents in a residential setting. You will foster a safe, nurturing environment while delivering individualized care and supervision.

Responsibilities include supervising up to 12 students, promoting independence, and implementing student-centered activities in collaboration with a cohesive team. A high school diploma and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license.
• Preferred: 1 year of Human Services experience with children, adolescents, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a group of up to 12 adolescents (between ages 8-21) within the boarding environment.
• Maintain accountability of all students in your group (including bed checks after 9pm).
• Promote independence by teaching activities of daily living (showering, teeth brushing, chores, room cleanliness).
• Facilitate activities.
• Implement instruction appropriate to each child’s developmental needs.
• Manage behavioral incidences using PBIS and token economy.
• Communicate pertinent information to supervisors and clinicians.
• Document shift happenings.
• Display effective problem-solving skills.
• Promote campus values of fairness, honesty, respect, responsibility and kindness.
• Establish a safe, clean, nurturing living environment.
