Job summary

Passavant Memorial Homes is seeking responsible, caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our full-time team in the Coraopolis area. You will support individuals with intellectual disabilities through daily living tasks, transportation, meal prep, and community activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and provide daily living, social and recreational activities.
• Support and encourage maximum independence of individuals.
• Assist in development and implementation of the individual support plan.
• Ensure safety and well-being of the individuals.
• Encourage participation in home and community activities.
• Observe behaviors, document changes, and report findings.
• Administer medications (training provided after certification).
• Assist with cooking, housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Maintain logs and records pertaining to individuals.
