Job summary

New Horizons is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Watertown, SD to support people with disabilities in their home, work, or day services. Part-time role requiring 12–24 hours per week with a weekend shift every other weekend.

Hourly pay ranges from $17.76 to $18.78, with weekend premiums and a comprehensive benefits package including training, 401(k), PTO, and more. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record.
• Successful completion of criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist and ensure meals are prepared to nutritional requirements.
• Maintain safety and security of people served.
• Coordinate necessary shopping activities.
• Ensure household maintenance is completed.
• Transport people to activities and appointments.
• Staff programs to assess needs and develop the service plan.
• Monitor crisis situations and adjust supports accordingly.
• Support people served in daily activities including personal care and finances.
