Job summary

QSAC is seeking a Habilitation Specialist (DSP) to support individuals in our Residential program, focusing on developing daily living and social skills and promoting independence through community activities. You will follow treatment plans and uphold the DSP Code of Ethics while ensuring safety and well-being.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, experience with people who have intellectual/developmental disabilities, and a NYS valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• NYS Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote and protect health, safety and emotional well-being.
• Support person-centered approaches and honor preferences, culture, and strengths.
• Collaborate with others to help individuals lead self-directed lives.
• Follow established treatment plans.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
• Maintain required certifications and report issues to supervisors.
