Job summary

QSAC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New York to assist individuals in daily living and community activities in line with treatment plans. Roles include promoting independence and coordinating with teams to ensure safety and person-centered supports.

The position requires a NYS driver’s license, prior experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and a commitment to ethical care. Competitive benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License is required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individuals to develop and maintain relationships
• Promote and protect the health, safety and emotional well-being of the individuals
• Commit to person-centered supports and honor the personality, preferences, culture and strengths of the individuals
• Work in partnership with others to support all individuals to lead self-directed lives
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed

Education

NYS Driver's License

Clean Driving Record Preferred
