Job summary

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide direct support to an individual with developmental disabilities in Chevak. You will coordinate village-based services, help access resources, and work with the Traditional Council to ensure safety and well-being.

Ideal candidates bring related education or experience and a willingness to engage with families, community programs, and local agencies to address self-sufficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in special education, child/family health and development, counseling or community development preferred but not required.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience with consumers with special needs, ID, or related areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to assigned individual with developmental disabilities.
• Coordinate village-based services and assist the individual in accessing resources.
• Work with Traditional Council to assure the individual's safety and well-being.
• Meet regularly with the individual and family to address self-sufficiency goals.
