Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Napaskiak seeks a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide direct support to an individual with developmental disabilities and coordinate village-based services. You will work with the Traditional Council to ensure safety and access to resources, meeting with the individual and family to promote self-sufficiency.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED; experience in related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Experience in special education, child/family health and development, counseling or community development preferred.
• One year experience preferred; AA degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to an individual with developmental disabilities.
• Coordinate village-based services and assist access to resources.
• Work with Traditional Council to ensure safety and well-being.
• Meet regularly with the individual and family to address self-sufficiency issues.
