Job summary

Aurora Community Services is seeking passionate caregivers to support adults with cognitive and mental health disabilities in residential group homes. The role focuses on promoting independence, facilitating social activities, and assisting with daily living tasks.

The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement in a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, pass background checks, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Acceptable Background Character Verification.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community/social integration.
• Help consumers plan and prepare events and outings.
• Assist with self-care tasks (dressing, bathing, grooming).
• Medication administration as required.
• Meal preparation and planning.
• Transport consumers to activities.
• Follow individual service plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
