Job summary

EON, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Specialists to provide compassionate in-home and community-based care. You will support individuals with daily living activities, promote independence, and maintain safety in a patient, respectful manner.

As an employee-owned organization, EON offers ESOP benefits and a range of health and retirement options. Part-time shifts with morning, evening, and overnight coverage are available, with responsibilities including documentation and crisis support.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
• Must not be disqualified by criminal background checks.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to document information electronically.
• Prior experience or training not required, but desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals in their homes and community settings.
• Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming and hygiene.
• Support independence by teaching routines and daily living skills.
• Assist with medication administration and liaise with healthcare providers as needed.
• Document care activities electronically and maintain accurate records.
• Respond quickly to crises and maintain safety and dignity in all interactions.
