Job summary

Thrive CSS in Bucks County is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help adults with IDD live more independent lives at home and in the community. This role centers on connection, trust, and daily meaningful support.

You'll follow individual plans, assist with meals, personal care, transport, and community activities, while documenting progress and maintaining safety and dignity. Training is provided, and flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• PA background clearances required or able to pass
• Comfortable working independently while part of a team
• Experience with IDD is a plus, but not required (training provided)
• Dependable and compassionate with good communication

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities like meal prep, personal care, and household tasks
• Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy
• Help individuals participate in community activities, employment, and social opportunities
• Follow individual support plans and health or behavioral strategies
• Ensure safety, dignity, and respect at all times
• Communicate openly with supervisors and complete basic documentation
