Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) in Philadelphia is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fuller, more independent lives in homes and communities.

As a DSP, you’ll assist with daily living activities, encourage independence and self-advocacy, support participation in community activities and employment, follow individual plans, and ensure safety and dignity.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass PA background clearances.
Experience with IDD is a plus, training provided.
Comfortable working independently within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Support individuals with daily activities such as meal prep, personal care, and household tasks.
Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
Help individuals participate in community activities, employment, and social opportunities.
Follow individual support plans and health or behavioral strategies.
Ensure safety, dignity, and respect at all times.
Communicate openly with supervisors and complete basic documentation.
