Job summary

Intandem is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with developmental disabilities in a community habilitation setting. The role focuses on instruction, guidance, and one-on-one assistance to promote independence and self-direction across daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education, Training & Experience: High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and dependable transportation.
• Preferred Education, Training & Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Functional knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Enables people with developmental disabilities to develop skills leading to a self-directed life.
• Provides instruction, guidance and one-on-one assistance.
• Addresses and responds to emergent circumstances with good judgment.
• Assists with daily living activities and personal care and money management.
• Maintains accurate documentation and participates in Agency training.
