Job summary

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP & TRAINING is seeking a Direct Support Person to train and supervise residents with disabilities in a home‑like setting. You will help residents achieve Discovery Plan goals, assist with daily living activities, hygiene, meals, mobility, and transportation, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a high school diploma, being at least 18, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to complete DSP training and Medication Administration authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance if shift requires.
• Experience with adults with disabilities is helpful.
• Must complete DSP classes and obtain Medication Administration authorization.

Responsibilities

• Assist or perform programming to help residents achieve Discovery Plan goals.
• Assist with daily living, including hygiene and self-care.
• Change and wash linens and assist with laundry as needed.
• Support residents with mobility and transportation.
• Prepare or assist with meals for residents.
• Maintain a safe, clean, home-like environment and complete paperwork.
