Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Gallagher Services in Lutherville Timonium, MD. This PRN, part-time, on-site position provides living support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community and home settings, following person-centered planning and PBS approaches.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move and transfer individuals and assist with daily living activities.
• Ability to drive multiple agency vehicles and transport clients safely.
• Comfortable working in home/community settings with adults who have IDD.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document logs and reports.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on assistance in the home, including transfers, bathing, grooming, and following dining protocols.
• Assist with laundry, meal preparation, and household chores.
• Utilize Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) to prevent, intervene, and teach behaviors.
• Accompany doctors’ appointments and coordinate with on-call nursing staff as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of care plans, safety protocols, and universal precautions.
• Attend required trainings within 3 months of hire and document all activities in the agency software.
• Assist with medication administration per MTTP/CMT curriculum and policies.
• Support clients to participate in daily activities and community integration.
• Prepare logs and reports using agency software and maintain confidentiality.
