Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes or communities. You will support daily living skills, monitor health and safety, and promote independence under supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency evaluation process.
• Current CPR Card.
• Current Health Screening as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client’s health, wellness and safety.
• Encourage goals related to learning and independent living skills.
• Crisis prevention and intervention.
• Maintain detailed, compliant documentation on client status and progress.
• Implement behavior support plans as applicable.
• Provide transportation as needed and complete required trainings.
