Job summary

DABS, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide individualized in-home and community support to adults with developmental disabilities.

You will supervise and assist with ADLs, monitor health and safety, and help implement Behavioral Support Plans to maintain a stable living environment. We offer pay ranging from $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, with weekly pay, and provide healthcare benefits, paid sick leave, mileage and cell reimbursement, plus opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience providing direct support to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Experience working with individuals with complex behavioral or mental health needs is preferred.
• Proficiency in IPP/ISP and BSPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supervision in home and community.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene; meal prep and light housekeeping.
• Supervise medication administration when needed.
• Accompany/transport to medical appointments as required.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) to prevent and de-escalate issues.
• Apply crisis prevention/intervention techniques when necessary to ensure safety.
• Observe and report health/behavior changes to supervisor; complete daily logs.
