Job summary

Braverhood is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in New York. The role offers a wage of $18 to $20 per hour and is part-time for weekdays and/or weekends.

You will provide one-on-one support in home and community settings, help individuals reach personal goals, and encourage independence and socialization. Responsibilities include documenting services, following agency and OPWDD requirements, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred.
• Experience with children or young adults preferred.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle REQUIRED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Dependable, accountable, and punctual.
• U.S. Citizen or valid work authorization.
• Complete required paid DSP training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in the home and community.

• Encourage communication, socialization, and independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
