Job summary

Braverhood in New York is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support in the home and community. This part-time role offers flexible schedules, paid training, and PTO, with opportunities to help individuals achieve personal goals, promote independence, and document progress.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required; prior experience with individuals with special needs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with special needs preferred.
• Experience with children or young adults preferred.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle REQUIRED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Dependable, accountable, and punctual.
• U.S. Citizen or valid work authorization.
• Complete required paid DSP training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in the home and community
• Help individuals achieve personal goals
• Encourage communication, socialization, and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Document services and progress
• Follow agency and OPWDD requirements

Skills

Experience with individuals with SPN
