Job summary

Hands of Heartland, Inc. is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Bellevue day centers in Bellevue, NE. The role involves working 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities and community integration.

Starting pay is $16 an hour, with higher rates for experience and CNA certification. You will document progress, help participants develop skills, and ensure safety and dignity in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Requires strong interpersonal skills and compassionate approach.
• Ability to document activities and maintain records accurately.
• Willingness to complete background checks and obtain driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, positive, and encouraging atmosphere for people we support.
• Assist with day-to-day living activities and skill development in a community setting.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community outings as needed.
• Support personal goals and facilitate social, recreational and skill-building activities.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
