Job summary

Howry Residential Services seeks a Direct Support Professional in Bloomington, MN. You will ensure supervision requirements are met, assist clients with daily routines, implement individual program plans, and document progress, while keeping clients safe and supported.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience serving people in adult foster care services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements; may need personal vehicle for work-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily living activities and encourage independent living.
• Understand and implement all client programs scheduled during hours worked.
• Accurately document day-to-day client progress on program charts.
• Provide feedback on program effectiveness to supervisor and document in logs.
• Obtain clarification on program implementation as needed.
• Carry out client daily schedules and behavior plans.
• Maintain knowledge of client history, habilitation plans, and safety procedures.
