Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist young adults and adults in homes or community settings. You will build life and social skills while delivering person-centered support and documenting progress in a collaborative team.

Paid training, ongoing education, and a supportive environment are offered, with bi-weekly pay and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K. A driver's license and own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old and able to pass background checks.
• Experience supporting adults or children with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Background checks and TB screening required.
• CPR certification required or provided on hire.
• Must have license and own vehicle.
• Ability to document using tablets.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Complete necessary documentation for each service and track progress.
• Provide direct support per the individual service plan and guidelines.
• Assist with activities of daily living and independent living skills.
• Transport clients in own vehicle to activities and appointments.
• Support skill development and community engagement.
• Represent ATS mission, values, and beliefs in daily work.
