Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care at Hasenflu House in Hermitage, PA.

You will support residents with complex physical, medical and intellectual needs in a 40-hour, full-time schedule. In this role, you will help with daily living tasks, transport clients, monitor health, document progress, and participate in social and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable means of transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication Administration.
