Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support/Care Professional in Fitchburg. The role focuses on safety, direct supervision, and providing compassionate therapeutic interventions to youth with behavioral and emotional disorders.

You will teach daily living skills, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Full-time schedule includes evening shifts; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, plus a $250 MAPS bonus for certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• MAPS certification required or obtainable within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Provide and ensure safety and security of all youth by direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills.
• Complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
