Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts in Rutland, MA is hiring a Direct Care Professional to support and supervise youth with complex behavioral needs. You will provide direct supervision, implement therapeutic interventions, and help youth learn daily living skills in a caring setting.

Qualifications include MAPS certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Active driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
• MAPS certification required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Two-week paid orientation for external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Ensure safety and security of all youth under supervision.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in a compassionate environment.
• Engage with youth and reinforce appropriate behaviors.
• Teach Activities of Daily Living skills.
• Complete required documentation such as progress notes and incident reports.
