Job summary

RHA Health Services is looking for a Direct Support Program Manager in North Carolina. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, manage operations, staffing and budgets, and coordinate with clinical staff to implement person-centered plans.

You’ll participate in on-call coverage and quality assurance processes to ensure safety and compliance. The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of experience with developmental disabilities, strong communication skills, and flexibility.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed.
• CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a system for assuring integration of basic developmental care and programming services.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations, staffing and budget of assigned facilities.
• Interviews and hires Direct Support Professionals.
• Assists with creating employee schedules ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
• Works closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting Person Centered Plan implementation.
• Provides shift coverage in times of acute shortages of direct support staff and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
• Assists with interdisciplinary team processes and participates in Quality Assurance assessments.
