Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Parkville, MD. The role is part-time, with weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM) and a pay rate of $20 to $20.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities and supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently. The DSP will help with cooking, cleaning, medication, and community engagement, while advocating for rights and building

Qualifications

• High School or better is required or equivalent.
• Experience as DSP or related preferred (1 year).
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive agency vehicles.
• Ability to assist with medication administration and daily living tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently by helping with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and medications.
• Facilitate community engagement and accompany individuals to local events or activities.

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM

HowYou’llSupport:

• Help individuals live independently byassistingwith cooking, cleaning, laundry, and taking medication
• Support community engagement, whetherthat’sa walk in the parkattending a local event.
• Be a steady presence in important moments—family visits, milestones, or just a shared cup of coffee
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

MinimumRequirements:

• Mustbe at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
