Job summary

Easterseals NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide high-quality support to individuals with I/DD in residential and community settings. The role includes implementing ISPs, assisting with daily living activities, and transporting residents as needed.

Requirements include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are desired.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.
• Implement ISPs for daily living, transportation, medication, and more.
• Transport residents using the company van as needed.
• Build relationships with residents and external stakeholders.
• Maintain notes and documentation for care plans and progress.
