Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide in-home and residential support in Maryland/DC. The role involves guiding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, coordinating with families and care teams, and assisting with daily living tasks in a residential setting.

The position requires at least 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma, updated physical, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid driver's license with a 3-year driving history.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Direct Support Professional or similar experience.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Updated physical.
• TB required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a residential setting.
• Communicate with individual's families, IDT, day program, and other providers.
• Instruct, support, and participate in household tasks including light housekeeping, preparing meals, changing, administering medication, etc.
• Prepare food according to menus, protocols, and individual preferences and diet.
• Assist in developing daily living skills by addressing social, environmental and health care needs.
• Transport individuals and provide mobility training to attend appointments and community activities.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and program meetings; ensure compliance with VOAC rules and monitoring entities.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Provide support and care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a residential setting.


• Communicate with Individual's families, members of their IDT, day program, and other providers of services.

• Ensure compliance with VOAC program requirements, environment-specific rules, as well as regulations from all monitoring entities.
