Delta-T Group is seeking a motivated Direct Support Professional to work in Maryland and DC area, providing care to individuals with IDD in residential settings. You will coordinate with families, IDT, and other providers to support daily living and health needs.

The role involves meal prep, medication administration, transportation, and participation in meetings. Eligibility includes one year DSP experience, 21+ years old, HS diploma, CPR/First Aid, and valid driver's license; weekly

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Direct Support Professional or similar experience.
• Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed.
• Must be 21 years old.
• High School Diploma.
• Updated physical.
• Valid Driver's License and 3-year driving history.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• TB required.

Responsabilités

• Provide support and care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a residential setting.
• Communicate with individuals' families, IDT members, day program, and other providers of services.
• Instruct, support, and participate in household tasks including light housekeeping, meals, changing, and medication administration.
• Prepare food according to menus, preferences, and prescribed diet.
• Develop daily living skills by addressing social, environmental, and health care needs.
• Transport individuals or provide mobility training to attend appointments, community programs, shopping, etc.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and program meetings.
• Ensure compliance with VOAC program requirements and applicable regulations.

• Sunday 9a-11p, Monday-Tuesday 3p-11p, and every other Wednesday 3p-11p
• Thursday-Friday 2p-11p, Saturday 9a-11p, and every other Wednesday 2p-11p
• Sunday-Tuesday 11p-9a and every other Wednesday 11p-9a
• Thursday-Sunday 11p-9a and every other Wednesday 11p-9a
• Sunday-Tuesday 3p-11p and every other Wednesday 3p-11p

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Provide support and care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a residential setting.
• Communicate with Individual's families, members of their IDT, day program, and other providers of services.
• Instruct, support, and participate in household tasks including light housekeeping, preparing meals, changings, administering medication, etc.
• Prepare food according to developed menus, menu protocols, Individual's likes, dislikes, and prescribed diet.
• Assist in developing daily living skills by identifying and meeting social, environmental and health care needs.
• Transport Individuals and/or provide mobility training to assist Individuals attend appointments, community rehabilitation programs, grocery shopping, etc.
• Attend client's staff meetings, training in-services, house and program meetings as instructed
• Ensure compliance with VOAC program requirements, environment-specific rules, as well as regulations from all monitoring entities.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year of Direct Support Professional or similar experience
• Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed
• Must be 21 years old
• High School Diploma

• Valid Driver's License
