Job summary

Firefly (Supportive Living & Employment Services) in Bolivar, MO is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver. You will support adults with developmental disabilities at home and in the community, helping them build independence, life skills, and meaningful daily activities.

No experience is required; we provide free training. The role offers flexible hours as a part-time position with opportunities to grow within a mission-driven organization committed to dignity and person-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
• Help individuals access community resources and participate in social activities.
• Provide transportation for appointments, shopping, and community outings.
• Teach independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and money management.
• Assist with daily living needs, including personal care and hygiene.
• Document client progress, achievements, and milestones.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Follow each individual’s ISP and participate in team meetings.
