Job summary

Firefly Supported Living & Employment Services in Springfield, MO seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver. This part-time role supports adults with developmental disabilities to live more independent lives, following ISP plans, assisting with daily living skills, transportation, and community integration.

We offer paid training, flexible shifts including weekends, holiday pay for full-time, and benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
• Help individuals access community resources and participate in social activities.
• Provide transportation for appointments, shopping, and community outings.
• Teach independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and money management.
• Document client progress, achievements, and milestones.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Follow each individual’s ISP (Individual Support Plan).
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
