Job summary

Oak-Leyden Developmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Training Counselor/Direct Support Professional for our Lifelong Learning Center adult day programs.

You will assist individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living and activities, and help implement the People Centered Plan during a fixed 35-hour week (8:00am-3:00pm). Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, DSP certification, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• DSP certification is required.
• 1 year experience with adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living and other activities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Implement the People Centered Plan and supervise subcontract work.
• Instruct in daily living, leisure, academic and pre-academic, economic, safety, hygiene, job, behavioral and health skills.
