Job summary

Indera in North Syracuse, NY is seeking a 1:1 Part-Time Direct Support Professional to assist a 47-year-old man with positive communication, independent living skills, and daily activities.

The client enjoys baseball, home care, gardening and walks; the DSP should be patient, creative, and able to handle possible verbal outbursts.

Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 2pm–5pm; additional hours may follow. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - North Syracuse, NY (SSMC-BP)

A 47 year old male in the North Syracuse area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with positive communication skills, independent living skills and encouragement to complete his activities of daily living.

He enjoys going to baseball games, taking care of his home, gardening and going for walks. He is a very social person and enjoys spending time with others, especially his wife and other family members.

The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, and patient. The ideal candidate must also be willing to navigate possible verbal outbursts from the individual.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 2pm-5pm. Times may be flexible.

Hourly Wage: $26.00 per hour
