Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through daily living support and community integration.

Paid training, scheduled hours include weekends and evenings, with a focus on independence and meaningful activity. The role includes assisting with daily living tasks, attending medical appointments, and following Behavior Support Plans.

• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate in activities and be active in their lives.
• Assist with household tasks, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc.
• Assist with medical appointments, banking, and community outings; follow Individual Support Plans and medical guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with emergency evacuations as needed.
