Job summary

Verland in Sewickley, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Exceptional Care to residents at our Main Campus. This is an hourly, non-exempt role with a 40-hour week and morning shifts (Week 1: 6am–2:30pm, Week 2: 6am–2:30pm).

The DSP delivers individualized support for people with complex needs, assists with daily living, transports to appointments, records progress notes, and participates in social and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation to work and appointments.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents without restrictions.
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care for residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual needs.
• Assist with daily living activities, meals, hygiene, and housekeeping duties.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities in Verland vehicles.
• Document observations and daily progress notes; maintain records.
• Support planning and participation in social, home, and recreational activities.
