North Community Counseling Centers, Inc. is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the 2nd shift (4pm - 12am) at their Residential Care Facility in Columbus, Ohio. This full-time position requires providing exceptional in-house care to adults with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be 18 years or older, and preferably have experience working with mental health clients. The role involves ensuring the health and safety of clients, administering medications, and planning activities.

North Community Counseling Centers, Inc. seeks qualified and dedicated 2nd shift full‑time residential care staff members to provide exceptional in‑house care to the clients of our Next Generation Program. All work will be at one primary location of our five residential houses, with flexibility to work at other houses as needed. All locations are in Franklin County. Mental health residents are adults suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues.

Job Type: Full‑time (part‑time available)

Rate: $15 per hour

Days: 5 days a week

Shift: 2nd shift (4pm - 12am)

Willing to work holidays & weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and safety of clients.
• Administer medications and chart all incoming medications, coordinating with nurses and case managers regarding compliance.
• Cook healthy meals per state regulations and guidelines; confirm food availability for weekend and holiday menus.
• Complete balanced weekly menus for two weeks.
• Clean and maintain the office area and common areas of the home.
• Perform hourly house checks to be aware of every resident’s whereabouts.
• Assist residents with completion of ADLs and maintenance of their rooms.
• Ensure bathrooms are clean at the end of your shift.
• Ensure kitchen and dining room areas are clean at the end of your shift, all dishes are put away, tables and countertops are cleaned.
• Plan and implement activities.
• Maintain residents’ schedule for your shift.
• Document behavior, incident reports, and communication logs.
• Communicate with co‑workers and house managers about concerns or activities completed/needed during the shift.
• Maintain required certifications and training.
• Monitor medical needs of residents and provide behavioral intervention as needed.
• Serve as a role model for appropriate behavior and social skills in the home and community.
• Conduct additional services requested by residents or their service team to improve quality of life, health and safety.
