The Direct Support Professional provides self-care training and assistance in daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in a group home setting.
In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; Valid NYS driver's license and 12 months driving history. Six months to one-year related experience and or training preferred.
