Job summary

The Arc Madison Cortland is seeking a dedicated supervisor to oversee staff and residents in our residential programs. You will help ensure the operation of sites, and actively participate in developing and enforcing care plans and oversight guidelines.

Required is a high school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; a Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience are preferred, along with a valid NYS driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience preferred (or equivalent).
• Valid NYS driver's license with 12 months driving history.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and residents and oversee operation of sites.
• Participate in development and compliance of ISP and related plans.
• Interview, hire, train and supervise direct care staff.
• Oversee residents' finances, medications, and healthcare needs.

$25.18 Hourly with Sign On Bonus up to $1,000

Residential Setting ~ Flexible hours as needed with shift differential in evenings and weekends

~ Monday -Friday 8a-4p

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and minimum 3 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required; Bachelor's degree and previous supervisory experience preferred or a combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the reviewing agency, exceeds the above standards of the program. Valid NYS driver's license with 12 months driving history.

SUMMARY:

Supervises staff and residents and oversees the operation of assigned sites by performing but not limited to the following duties:

• Participates in the development and assures compliance of Individual Service Plans, including but not limited to Residential Habilitation Plans, the Level of Supervision Care and Monitoring Guides/Protective Oversight for Treatment Team approved as necessary or required.
• Interviews, hires, trains and supervises all approved direct care positions in compliance with all agency and departmental policies.
• Oversee residents' finances, medications and healthcare needs to assure compliance with agency policy and regulatory requirements.

About the ARC’S Residence Program:

In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.
