Job summary

UPMC Mon Yough Behavioral Health in Irwin, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with intellectual disabilities in a supportive residential setting. You will help with daily living, personal care, transportation, and medication administration to promote independence and well-being.

No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. The role features four shifts per week, on-site parking, and a casual dress code in a caring,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior human services experience preferred.
• Must have a valid PA driver's license and meet vehicle insurance requirements.
• Must provide a current physical and Mantoux test on hire, and ongoing as required by the Department of Public Welfare (DPW).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills and personal care.
• Support resident safety, independence, and well-being.
• Follow ISPs, care plans, and individualized goals.
• Assist with medications, appointments, meals and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment.
• Complete required documentation, training, and administrative tasks.

From supporting daily living and self-help skills to medication administration and transportation, you'll play an important role in each individual's day while ensuring their safety and well-being. No prior experience required- we provide all the training you will need to be successful!

Key Information:

• Schedule: 4 Shifts per week. Monday 12p-8p, Thursday 6am-5pm, Friday 6am-5pm, Sunday 10a-8pm. Will include holidays, but no on-call requirements.
• Location: 11981 North Street, 15642
• Parking: Free on site
• Dress Code: Casual
