Job summary

The Arc of Opportunity in North Central Massachusetts is seeking Direct Support Professionals-Relief to help deliver quality care in residential programs. This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities and collaborates with Residential managers to maintain service standards.

Flexible shift options are available, and staff are expected to advocate for residents, implement support plans, and assist with daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sustain periods of sitting or standing.
• Ability to assist in a restraint if needed.
• Substance abuse or mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers service standards with Residential managers and Direct Support Professionals while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Advocates for individuals served and implements Individual Support Plans based on assessments and goals.
• Assists participants with personal care including toileting, transfers, dining, showering, dressing, and grooming.
• Provides light to medium maintenance tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, snow removal, and grounds keeping.
