Job summary

The Arc of Opportunity is hiring a Direct Support Professional for a Full Time role in Pepperell, MA. You will support individuals with daily living, transportation, and community activities, guided by individualized service plans.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. MAP Certification may enhance earnings; comprehensive benefits are provided, including paid time off and retirement features.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Active and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift to 50lbs and sustain periods of sitting or standing.
• Ability to assist in a restraint if needed.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively Advocate for individuals served demonstrating the Agency’s values and mission in all interactions
• Leveraging your knowledge and interests in the community to empower individuals and enhance their quality of life
• Implement Individual Service Plans
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily living, including household tasks and chores
• Assist individuals with appointments, including driving the Agency’s van
• Present in a respectful and professional manner in all interaction
• Attend all trainings and implement knowledge throughout your work
• Communicate in an effective manner whether orally or written
