Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems seeks a Residential Support Worker to provide care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a community group home. You will implement individual plans, model positive behavior, and assist with everyday activities in Wallingford, PA.

The role is PRN with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and background checks; no prior experience is required, and no certifications are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• No licensure or certifications required.
• Must have Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history checks; not on Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.

Responsibilities

• Assist persons served in reaching their goals of becoming more independent.
• Act as a positive role model for persons served.
• Provide guidance, instruction, coaching, and support in accordance with individual plans.
• Engage individuals in beneficial programs and activities.
• Transport and accompany individuals into the community for appointments and outings.
• Directly assist with personal care as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and routine homemaking duties.
• Ensure the safety of the person served including medical/medication needs.
• Apply approved behavior plans and intervention strategies as needed.
• Complete records and reports; collect data according to Agency policy.

Under the general direction of the Division Manager of Residential Services, with specific supervision from the House Manager, is responsible for the provision of support, personal assistance, training, and quality care to people with intellectual disabilities residing in a community group home.

Schedule Details

Shifts: PRN

Location: Wallingford, PA

Program: Residential Habilitative Program

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Job Duties
