Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of San Joaquin, Calaveras & Amador Counties seeks a dedicated staff member to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers in a day/residential setting. The role involves routine documentation, direct care including toileting assistance, and adherence to licensing regulations.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, read/write/speak English proficiently, and possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with experience in day/residential programs for persons with disabilities.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Ability to use basic math and operate a computer.
• CDL driving license required with clean driving record.
• First Aid/CPR certificates preferred or able to meet licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides group and one-to-one instruction daily.
• Provide direct personal care, including bathroom duties, as needed.
• Assist in applying behavioral management techniques per instructional plans.
• Record daily data on customer progress toward ISP objectives.
• Maintain classroom equipment and general facility cleanup.
• Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22).
• Develop rapport with customers, staff and stakeholders.
• Provide transportation to/from program as required.
• Participate in customer meetings and agency trainings as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
