Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Associations Inc in Tracy, CA seeks a dedicated caregiver to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled clients under supervision. Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED with preference given to experience in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities.
• Language Ability: Must read, write and understand English; strong oral and written communication; follow instructions.
• Math Ability: Basic math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provides group and one-to-one instruction daily.
• Provide direct personal care (including bathroom duties) as needed.
• Assist in application of behavioral management techniques as specified in instructional plans.
• Record data daily regarding customer's progress towards meeting ISP objectives.
• Maintain classroom equipment.
• Provide general clean-up for facility.
• Assist with and meet Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22).
• Develop and maintain good rapport with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
• Provide customer transportation before, during and after program.
• Provide input to supervisor(s) regarding the development of individualized service plan objectives.
• Participate in customer meetings as needed.
• Attend required agency meetings and training as requested by Program Manager or designee.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
