Job summary

Northeast Arc in Peabody, MA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our team. You will provide quality living supports to individuals in residential programs or in the community, teaching, supporting, and facilitating choices in homes and communities.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of Direct Support Care experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and CPR/FA & MAP certification. Shifts include daytime and weekend hours in Peabody, MA.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Direct Support Care in a Residential Home.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary.
• Current CPR/FA & MAP certification required.

Our Home in Peabody, MA is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join its team!

Title: Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals living in residential programs or independently. Teach, support, and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities.

Pay Rate:

$23.50/hr.- $24.50 with (FA/CPR and MAP certifications a requirement)

Schedule:

Sunday 9 am-11 pm, Monday 3 pm-11 pm, Tuesday 3 pm-11 pm, Wednesday 3 pm-11 pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals' receiving services.
• Document accurately and thoroughly including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that fosters skill acquisition, relationship building and independence.
• Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
• Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions, ensuring that emergency exits are clear and accessible at all times and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans.
