Job summary

Northeast Arc in Peabody, MA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist residents in group homes and community settings. You will provide quality living supports, monitor health and safety, and support daily living activities.

The role requires CPR/FA and MAP, valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Shifts include Sundays and weekday evenings; compensation is $23.50–$24.50 per hour with required certifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Care and support clinical and social needs of individuals.
• Document accurately in logs and health records including data books.
• Foster meaningful community experiences to build skills and independence.
• Provide hands-on home support including transferring, bathing, grooming, and dining protocols.
• Administer medications per policies and MAP regulations; support appointments and on-call nursing.
• Maintain safety by following universal precautions and staffing ratios.

Our Home in Peabody, MA is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join its team!

Title:

Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals living in residential programs or independently. Teach, support, and facilitate choices for people in their homes and within their communities.

Pay Rate:

$23.50/hr.- $24.50 with (FA/CPR and MAP certifications a requirement)

Schedule:

Sunday 9 am-11 pm, Monday 3 pm-11 pm, Tuesday 3 pm-11 pm, Wednesday 3 pm-11 pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals' receiving services.
• Document accurately and thoroughly including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that fosters skill acquisition, relationship building and independence.
• Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
• Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions, ensuring that emergency exits are clear and accessible at all times and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license required for most positions.
• Minimum of 1 year of Direct Support Care in a Residential Home
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Current CPR/FA & MAP certification Required.
