Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Killingly, CT for part-time roles with benefits. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, medications, and promoting independence while ensuring safety and dignity.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to pass background checks, and ability to document care in English. CPR/First Aid training may be required after orientation.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• Proof of valid driver’s license and ID documents.
• Ability to pass background checks and safety checks.
• Able to stand, move, twist, bend, kneel, reach, lift and walk for most of shift; some positions up to 100 lbs.
• Must document care in English and communicate with clients/well coworkers in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Ensure a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and choice-making to promote independence.
• Use mobility equipment with proper techniques.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
